- The Faa'a station is located in French Polynesia in the middle of the South Pacific. French Polynesia has 117 islands in an area the size of Europe. The radiosonding station is located on the largest island in this area is the island of
- Tahiti. The international airport of the island of Tahiti is located in the city of Faa'a in the northern part of the island. The station is located in the airport area between the airport runways and the edge of the lagoon.
