At ICM-14 the site certificate for Barrow was officially handed over by WG-GRUAN co-chair Peter Thorne to ARM-representative Evan Keeler. The ARM-operated GRUAN site Barrow, located at the northern-most point of Alaska, has been GRUAN certified to acknowledge that the radiosoundings (RS41) are performed in accordance with the requirements for reference quality data.
Barrow was certified by the WG-GRUAN has been submitting data to GRUAN since 2012.
