The venue is located in the Albert Einstein science park on the Telegrafenberg in Potsdam, which is the home of several renown research institutes including GRUAN partners AWI and GFZ. Besides beautiful scenery and historical buildings, the park also offers a famous scientific monument, the Einstein tower which was built to verify the red shift predicted by the theory of general relativity. ICM-10 will be co-hosted by AWI and the Lead Centre, and the traditional site visit will go to DWD's Lindenberg Observatory, which also is home of the Lead Centre. In addition to scientific highlights, Potsdam and nearby Berlin offer a wide range of historical and contemporary cultural attractions.
